Hi, I’m Denise, a first-gen Mexican-American, born and raised in East LA. My city and the people shaped how I see the world, and that lens shows up in everything I make.

I got my degree in graphic design from Loyola Marymount University in 2015. Since then, I’ve built a multidisciplinary career across visual design, product design, illustration, and art direction.

I got my start as a design intern at Hulu, then spent seven years at Snap, where I really found my voice as a designer. Currently, I’m a Senior Product Designer at Yahoo, working on creator tools and content-driven experiences with a focus on equity, access, and clarity.

Outside of tech, I’m also a trained chef. I moved to New York in 2021 and finally chased a longtime dream of going to culinary school. I’ve since worked in fine dining at Gem under Chef Flynn McGarry and continue to explore my culinary path with aspirations of becoming a private chef and eventually opening my own butcher shop.

I care deeply about craft, storytelling, and building things that feel human. Currently based in Brooklyn.
